Yes! Liquid Nitrogen is a:
- Non-toxic
- Non-explosive
- Odorless and tasteless gas
As long as it is stored and handled correctly by specially trained staff, it is extremely safe to use in the food industry. Similar to how fries are cooked in hot oil, nitro puffs are prepared using liquid nitrogen. Fries aren’t served with oil (that’s gross!), just as Yeti Puffs aren’t served with liquid nitrogen!
In accordance with recommendations for safe handling and consumption, Yeti Puff Nitro Snacks:
- Only uses food grade liquid nitrogen
- Are handled by specially trained employees who understand and follow procedure
- Are always drained of liquid nitrogen before being served (there is never leftover residue in the cup)
